I remember reading an article a year or so back about how the first people to make it to Mars are essentially going to be marooned there and not brought back to Earth. Is that still the game plan or are there plans on the drawing board to bring people back?

We already have that in terms of background checks. If I go to purchase a firearm, I have to pass an FBI background check before the store would release the firearm to me. Also, stores have discretion to refuse the sale if the person seems off.

The problem with mental illness is that it can manifest after purchasing a firearm. So how do you protect against that without infringing upon their rights?
