It's more complicated than /u/monkeybrigade makes it look. Some companies are trolls about it, asswipes at best. King for example. But some companies made stuff, and deserve for it to be protected, with some leniency. The system needs to change, but not alltogether destroyed. What it needs is reform.

Bit of a distant connection, but my uncle (and subsequently, his kids) lived in Kujjuaq (I believe that's the spelling) for quite a few years! (Every cousin older than me visited, but they moved to Kingston before I could)
