I assume you've read Allan Gyngell's book "Fear of Abandonment" and Hugh White's new book "How to Defend Australia"...

As an IR undergrad, you're right on the money on a major decline should China experience some economic depression. It doesn't help that a sizeable chunk of our economy relies on high housing prices that are unsustainable.

Dearest welcome to Sen. Scott Ludlam. Many thanks for continuing to be one of the few honest, ethical & logical parliamentarians in the chambers of federal parliament. My question is: Why is the LNP coalition able to pass legislation that does not adhere to constitutional & ethical standards, without any logical & reasonable explanation?

u/TubeDriverAMA, What is your approach to braking (during service)? Do you prefer setting a base notch (as in like maybe 1/3rd, or 1/2) and then progressively increasing brake pressure until at full or do you prefer just setting it at full at a pre-determined distance (taking into consideration track gradient, and conditions (if above ground) before the platform end? I would assume the process is different on the mainline due to increased speeds and rollingstock tare / loaded weight.

  • Do the actions of the Legislative Council seem to infer that the specific elements of the Mainland Government is more likely to completely ignore the Sino-British Joint Declaration and the principle of "one country, two systems" which was agreed to upon ratification of the Joint Declaration?

  • What are the options for those Hong Kong people who believe that this (see above) is happening?

  • Is this essentially making the Hong Kong Basic Law redundant?

I hope this gets resolved peacefully.
