You have long championed the semantic web, with RDF and all that jazz, but apart from a few niche applications it seems like its adoption hasn't been that great. Do you still dream of a deeply semantic web? Do you see a way for that to happen?

That doesn't seem to really answer the question of whether you think it's a problem.

It's a great use-case, but relative to the size of the web as a whole it is a tiny niche. The semantic web was supposed to apply to the whole web.

Your original proposal for the web described it in terms that made it sound much more like a database than a publishing medium -- you envisioned web browsers having the ability to edit pages inline, a feature I haven't seen since Netscape Gold, for instance. Do you wish the web were more like that original vision, or does its current form seem better to you?
