I'm with you on that. I had very little QOL when I was finally diagnosed with Crohn's 12 years ago. I was given an emergency colostomy and the improvement was amazing. It absolutely saved my life too. I can understand why someone would be scared of it (it's a big adjustment for sure) but once you're used to it it's really not as bad as you think!

I visited Bosnia & Herzegovina a couple of years ago and was struck by how divided the country is. When I was in the area around Sarajevo there was a lot of emphasis on remembering the events of the war, and on punishing those responsible. But when I drove up to the more rural areas of Republika Srpska the war just want talked about, and the perpetrators of war crimes were viewed as heroes.

As a tourist my understanding and knowledge of the situation is very limited, but I can see the country completely dividing into two in the future. What are your thoughts on that?

Not the OP (obviously) but I imagine it could help with predicting health conditions. If your dog is made up of a large percentage of a breed that is generally predisposed to a health condition you could watch out for early warning signs. Catching it early could help with treatment and a better prognosis.

Edit: genetically, not generally

We did a DNA kit for the rescue we adopted last year! Unfortunately it was only able to positively identify 3 of her great-grandparents. Is there likely to be any advance in this regard, IE identifying older generations?
