My dad has FTD. Do you have any experience working with people with FTD? This shit sucks and any tips would be great.

He's at the stage where instead of opening the front door, he locks the door handle and deadbolts the lock then wonders why he can't open it. Speech is also fucked. Lack of nouns and verbs when he tries to talk.

Have you ever watched After Prison Show with Joe or Life after the Penitentiary with Big Herc on youtube?

What do you think of those? Are they relatively accurate to your experience?

I'm living at home helping take care of him. It's past that. Luckily he is very upbeat most days and my mother is willing to provide primary care. My sister and I pick up the slack, but all credit goes to mom.

And literally right as I type this I can overhear my mom try and convince my dad to not put gym shorts over his head because he thinks they're a shirt.
