Why is this issue getting so much coverage now, even though it’s been going on for 20+ years? And why is the onus on Trump to fix this, when it’s Congress that should be enacting the policies?

I thought the decision was the result of the Flores settlement in 1997? If not, do you have an example of a policy that Trump himself made? Because otherwise, as far as I understand, he’s simply been enforcing policies on books that were not enforced before.

If Israel is engaging in genocide or ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, how do you explain their population growth in the past decades?

Additionally, there are numerous Palestinian refugee camps in other countries like Lebanon and Syria. Ones in Syria have come under awful attack throughout the Syrian civil war, most recently Yarmouk a few days ago. Yet we get almost no reporting of these events. Why is there such a dichotomy in news coverage of Palestinian deaths when it’s at the hands of Israel compared to when it’s at the hands of other Arab countries?
