In 2008, you said, though I’m paraphrasing here, That Senator John McCain can get away with saying just about anything and the media won’t question him. To continue to use John McCain as an example, he flip flopped on the deal that released Bowe Bergdahl, then lied to Jake Tapper saying that he never supported the deal while looking down to read a talking point he had written down in his hand and Jake simply didn’t press him on it.

Reporters and talking heads today, including David Gregory and, especially, Wolf Blitzer, tend to go around asking a politician a question, letting that politician respond with a prepared talking point, then not asking follow ups or not pointing out inaccuracies.

My question: Will you objectively press politicians or anyone who come on your show, regardless of their political ideology, when you know they are lying or making a misrepresentation?
