I understand that Nature and Science should be more accessible, but with articles such as this: http://www.theverge.com/2013/10/3/4798840/fake-research-paper-exposes-poor-standards-open-access-journals it makes me nervous in accepting articles from open access sources even if they are "peer reviewed". I just got out of undergrad so I don't really have the ability to spot fake papers as easily as others might. Suggestions?

I never thought of that. Thanks for the article and pointing this out! It is a really terrifying thought that people are submitting false data, and others are publishing it. What can be done to stop it other than have a watch dog group send fake papers to journals constantly and publicly call into question their integrity when they are posted?
