ok, I've completed my remix. I love my remix. My friends love my remix. One guy says he's already trying to remix my remix.

The arrangement is fresh, the mixing so delicately balanced that a slight breeze turned the mixdown into musique concrete yesterday.

but god damn do I have stage fright about submitting my remix.

how do I build up the confidence to submit my tune without bugging the judges / prejudges / entirety of #ocremix?

I've used the WIP forum before but that's become "dude you're fine just submit", probably aptly too since 100% of the remixes I've submitted with those sort of comments behind them have been accepted. but gah.

I've been following this countdown religiously for quite some time, but I've also realized something: the downlink time for pluto is quite long.

when that countdown reaches zero, what will the team / control room look like? I can imagine partying, but I can also imagine incredibly tense screen staring for 9 hours, waiting to see the status of NH.

(and how does anyone expect to sleep during that time?)

sleep is something I've been curious about. I recall that a team working on a mars rover had switched to 25 hour days to keep in sync with mars, but in pluto's case, the up/downlink is so long that I don't think such a thing would help. how crazy is everyone's sleep schedule right now, anyway? from the phrase "have fun in the evenings," it sounds like you're still pretty nicely in sync with earth!
