Any thoughts on adding touch screens with the model images right next to the actual artifacts? My kids love those screens. If done well, it could give visitors the impression they were holding the actual object.
Some objects might even have interesting parts which could be highlighted on the screen. Poke that part and see more info about what makes it interesting. Now they go look at the original and can really feel like they're part of history...
Bonus points: make an app that does the same thing so the lines for the touch screen are shorter. Maybe each exhibit gets a QR code the museum-wide app can read so it knows which artifact's info to bring up?
