I've been getting into arguments recently about welfare as it relates to crime. I argue for welfare not only for compassionate reasons, but because I figure it would reduce crime. I.e. people who are capable of eating, drinking, etc. with housing who aren't desperate to survive are less likely to steal, sell drugs, fight, murder etc. in their attempts to survive.

Do you think Welfare helps reduce crime in this manner, or plays an important role in increasing/decreasing crime, even if it's only certain types of crimes?

Tim, first thanks for doing this. Second, what are your thoughts on the discrepancies between exit polls and actual voting results across the democratic primaries which almost exclusively favor Hillary Clinton? What can you do or will you do to ensure we get open primaries/caucuses across the US? What can we do to get 100% same day registration and minimum of two plus weeks of pre voting in all states? What can we do (and we must do) to ensure 100% auditable paper trail backed elections to prevent and eliminate any chance of voter fraud? Why(seriously) cant we in this day and age vote from our smart phones? what are your thoughts on all citizens being able to vote for their preferred candidate for each party, not just republican, democrat, etc? ie why can't I vote for Rand Paul as a Republican and Bernie Sanders as a democrat on the same ballot? Do you believe that legitimate voter fraud in the form of vote manipulation has taken place in this election cycle? Finally, what are your thoughts on alternative forms of voting like first past the post or instant runnoff voting, and do you believe they stand a chance of becoming the norm in America? Any system you like best? Thanks again!

Is it just me, or do Republicans not seem to care about what you do? Everything to them seems ideological to me. Do you have any experience differentiating between Republicans and Democrats with regards to willingness to use (your)data to make policy decisions?
