Hey docs. Have you seen anything convincing on why sars-cov-2 causes anosmia? Is it viral infection of nerve nasal nerves? And would this imply that meningitis or brain involvement is possible?

Also, can other viruses like the herpesviruses cause the same effect?

For first responders and military, which treatment modalities do you find most effective? I like the idea of EMDR because it's not pharmaceutical and seems to have some evidence, but it still seems a little like hokey "magic".

As a non-specialist healthcare provider, how can I identify when it's time for a teammate to see somebody like you? And, understanding that every individual is different, what can I tell them about how quickly to expect results?

Last bonus question, if you don't mind. With military personnel in particular, what is the relationship between TBI and PTSD? It seems like there is a physiological relationship there, but I haven't been taught enough about it to really understand it.
