His Neurologist mentioned he has seen a few over the past few years. And we've been wondering if it was connected somehow.

It did take a LONG time to get diagnosed. It took him having a seizure so bad he was put on a ventilator. And the Neurologist listened to me, the first doctor in two years of seizures happening, that when he has seizures: his blood sugar is normal, he turns purple and it's a completely different reaction than very low blood sugar. It makes me wonder how many Diabetics who are considered "brittle" with lots of "low blood sugar incidences" are actually having seizures & have a seizure disorder of some sort.

A neurologist saved my boyfriends life. It was always assumed his seizures were solely Diabetes related, but turns out he also had Epilepsy as well.

IS there a link between Type 1 Juv. Onset Diabetics having seizure disorders develop as well?
