I've only used the mildest of opioids: codeine and its synthetic analog, tramadol. But I did let myself get hooked to them, abused them for a while, and then endured withdrawal from both. If withdrawal from these drugs, considered to be around 1/15th of the potency of heroin was a really nasty thing to go through, I can't imagine what a heroin withdrawal (let alone IV) must be like.
In my country, there is no access to naloxone or buprenorphine, so the recommended course of action is to taper down / go on benzodiazepines / possibly depression therapy.
In my experience, tramadol withdrawal was mostly physical, with marked mood swings. Since tramadol is also a mild SSRI, I switched to St John's Wort to alleviate the symptoms, and that seemed to help.
Codeine withdrawal, on the other hand, was much more emotional: I got deeply depressed, had terrible bouts of anger, but the physical dependency was less pronounced for some reason.
Anyway, good on you for taking a step forward!

Not exactly, "fĂȘte" means celebration or party. You can say "Bonne FĂȘte" to your dad on Father's Day for instance. Incidentally, it can also mean "good party", so you can also say that when you're at a good party, regardless of birthdays being celebrated or not.
Happy Birthday translates to "bon anniversaire"
