Hi Jon; first of all thank you for all that you've done. Second, what's your opinion of intervening in nature to deal with wild animal suffering?

I totally agree that farm animal suffering seems like the most tractable place to start; that being said I think it's important in the end that we address wild animal suffering just because of the shear number of them.
Anyway, thanks for answering my questions and for your work with VO--it's helped get the MIT club off its feet!

Not OP, but I can tell you that chickens especially have much more unpleasant lives on factory farms than cows do. They are given about one iPad's worth of square feet each, ave their beaks partially chopped off while fully conscious, don't have enough room to turn in place, and generally lead pretty miserable lives.
