Genuine question. Do you believe in God?

As a Muslim I want to make it very clear that the religion of Islam does not tolerate the disgusting behavior of any Muslim who, as the OP mentioned, mistreats women, wants gender inequality, mistreats Non-Muslims or beats their children. All these behaviors are unacceptable in Islam, but the problem is that so many people in these Muslim countries behave this way, and in most cases, their governments have taught them this disgusting behavior. But if we're talking about Islam and Islam's opinion on these issues...it's the exact opposite. I just wanted to take a moment and defend the religion, because if the religion promoted those things, I wouldn't be Muslim myself.
