Peter Singer is not banned from entering Germany by the German government. His positions are controversial to some people and as a result there were strong reactions and protests. Some symposiums were disrupted, some were cancelled and the academic situation is tense. But to be banned of entry by the government is something else entirely.
Edit: The reason for this is because some of Singer's positions on Euthanasia mirror in some ways, the positions of those involved in the Euthanasia Programs of the Third Reich.

I wrote a song about you, and your sister Miriam, after I read about you a few years ago. It was in response to both my work at Dachau as a lecturer, and a few songs that a songwriters group I was in had written about the same subject. It was really inspiring the way you said, "I wasn't going to die, because I knew that if I died, he would kill my sister too." Thank you for your example. Thank you for fighting. Thank you for surviving, and for being able to forgive something so heinous.
I didn't think any of their songs did the subject material justice. After I wrote it, I didn't think mine did either. And so I never played it in public. Before I put it away, I thought maybe I should send you a recording, to see if you thought it was inappropriate. But I didn't. Art and the Holocaust are uncomfortable passengers in the same train.
My question then, is have you ever heard or seen any piece of art that comes close to doing justice to experience that you and your sister or the rest of the Häftlinge had? Whether it's visual, or aural?

Here’s a question for after the fact, why would you state that there’s a heated debate in Congress to impeach when there are no motions to impeach and no moves to impeach in Congress, when Speaker Pelosi has strongly intimated that she will not move to impeach, the GOP has no reason to impeach at present that benefits them, and the Mueller report does not indict?
