I know its uncouth to ask, but Ive always wondered about this. how much money do models make? and is it variable based on age/experience/time/build/gender?

I found your site the other day and the thing that turned me off immediately was "highly curated". Wouldn't this essentially be adding to the problem? how are small indie developers supposed to get discovered easily and get feedback on their games (often first time devs) if you only support the most popular and polished products (alliteration unintended)? I think if you truly want to be the "Netflix of indie games" you need to have minimal contact. subscription sites like yours are held together by tons of content. Netflix subscribers don't cancel because once they've binged the things that interest them, they go find stuff they never would have found on their own. and they can do that because netflix has 1000's of shows/movies. so even if a viewer only likes 1% of what they offer, there's always something to keep them around. with only 60 games arent you worried about subscriber retention? no gamer will like all 60. most won't like or even want to try 10 of the games you have on offer. and maybe 2 or 3 will keep them around. I'm not trying to say this is dumb, but it sounds more like you're trying to make a quick buck and maybe get a buyout (gamefly) than you are trying to introduce new developers to the indie gaming community. you said below you that people need to be highly rated or win awards or already be hot sellers...thats already super exclusive don't you think?

I'd wager if you were sent on an expedition to Pittsburgh and plan to live there forever you'd likely die

I like that youre pointing out the value of just sanding down a rusty pan (i got my whole set for $3 at a yard sale and they were COVERED in dirt and rust and they are the best pans ive ever owned) but the casting texture is a hotly debated topic for cast iron users. I personally prefer it to a smooth pan (I have both) simply for how easy it is to season. My big 15" pan is textured and is perfectly nonstick and cleans out easy every time. One of my smooth 6" pans is a nightmare to get seasoning in to, and even when done right has issues with some food.
Its a whole thing. Texture is fine. Smooth is fine. Know how to use both!
