At the TEDx event there was a lot of discussion on what constitutes a "true" revived species (as opposed to the creation of a new species). What is your take on that?

I was present at the TEDx event and I was disappointed to see the level of criticism. I believe these biotechnology and molecular biology projects are essential to advance our technology. Can you comment on other real-world applications that will emerge from such technologies?
