There's an old programming joke: You have problem X. You decide to solve it by doing Y. But Y is harder than X. So now you have two problems!
Is it really that hard to solve the climate-change problem, in comparison with trying to fundamentally change capitalism? (British Columbia introduced a carbon tax back in 2008 without crashing its economy; the IMF reports that there's significant national-level benefits to reducing CO2 emissions, even without considering the global benefit of counteracting climate change; the US and China, the world's two largest CO2 emitters, just reached an agreement on reducing emissions.)

Any thoughts on the BCHAF proposal vs. the provincial transfer tax vs. Vancouver's vacant-property tax? I'm wondering why the BCHAF proposal hasn't gone anywhere.
Thanks for all the investigative work you've been doing!
