As a vet myself - I loved that when I got sick on active duty, I could go and get treated for no out of pocket cost.

The GI bill has a 7:1 ROI are you against this program for vets? how about civilians?

I understand this comes off as snarky, my apologies, but it seems hypocritical to spend your career in a 'socialist' workplace. Arguably it's much more communist than socialist.

Socialism - Employees decide how to allocate resources/capital

Communism - The state does this.

So in return for your working for the government you get:

Healthcare

Education

Housing

Food

If you just hand this out to soldiers, what is their motivation to work? Perhaps a sense of patriotism?

Couldn't that motivation also be had in a civilian? They want to work at this factory to make their country better.

Bingo - this guy was also a supporter of arguably communist programs in the military (housing/GI bill/free healthcare) and yet laments encroaching 'socialism' in the federal govt.
