In another comment you said you regretted doing this, but that's pretty hard to believe when you say something like this to try and defend yourself. It's bad enough that you're trying to defend yourself, but using "It was only a smaller amount of money" as the defense is even worse.

It's pretty clear that you either don't fully understand that what you were doing was wrong, or you don't really regret what you were doing.

He charged money for something that was freely available. Just because they're real, and not fake doesn't mean it's justifiable. The refund part is completely irrelevant. The scam was complete before the key was blocked.
