Are there any common ways that those brain-eating amoebas can get into a public water supply post treatment, or are they mostly an issue for people with wells?

Damn. I assumed chlorine would get to it. That's actually really useful to know.

That actually seems pretty likely.

Huh. I know it can sometimes be washed into wells after heavy rains, though. Thanks for the response.

My concern with 4 is location based. Zionism and movement into the region preceded the Shoah and was basically the forced removal of Palestinians from British-administered land. If we're going to hold the United States accountable for the displacement and persecution of native population of parts of its territory—which we should, when it was governmentally sanctioned—we should do the same for Israel once its actions became government sanctioned. The transition from that Wild West period of incursion and settlement in both places to a government-sponsored action is the critical point.

I always thought it was unfortunate that space wasn't made in post-war Germany and parts of Poland (I say this as someone of German and Polish extraction) rather than Palestine, particularly since so many people moving to Israel were from Central and Eastern Europe to begin with, but at the same time it's obvious that most wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere near Germany or the Soviet Union at that point.
