Actually I'd caution against reliance on home testing kits.

Sadly there are no real alternatives for most users. I heard of a few great drug testing services in the Netherlands, but the rest of us would have to use rather expensive services such as ecstasydata.org.

Using the usual reagents is still much much better than taking a completely unknown substance.
