He explained that when discussing the effects society and therapy have on their patient. Think of it this way, when homosexual people were told by society that their sexual preference was an illness, it created an obvious bias in regards to their view of the sexual experience. Saying the bias should disappear once they give you an answer is somewhat of an overstatement.

So you're interested in moving policy in a libertarian direction but you can't offer any philosophical explanation about your policy? That sounds like bullshit to me. Does more freedom mean that more people should be allowed to slip into poverty? That those with wealth should be free from having to lend a hand to the needy in society? Are environmental regulations anti-freedom?
These are questions that everyone asks of Libertarian politicians because you're choosing to self-identify with a movement that is heavily divided on these issues. If you can't really give an answer to these questions, how can you truly say that your ideas will move policy in a better direction? Don't forget that AMA means ask me anything. We're not here to boost your PR image so please have the decency to cut the bullshit and give an answer.
