A quiet room is a padded, empty room with a heavy door which has an observation window in it.
When a child is so out of control that they may be a danger to themselves or others, one option is to put the child in the quiet room until they calm down.
There are limits as to how long a child can stay in a quiet room and how often a staff person had to check on them (usually every 15 minutes).

It's almost unimaginable to me that you have the strength to show empathy for someone who caused you so much pain.
I think most of us have trouble showing empathy for the real and perceived slights and wrongs we experience in our everyday lives. Even if we succeed in individual instances, maintaining a loving attitude day to day can be difficult as we face the stresses of our daily lives.
Thank you so much for providing such a powerful example of what can be with an open mind and heart.

No problem. I think "quiet room" was chosen because you want the kid to quiet down. And it sounds better than "time out room" to the kid.
