As a female interested in being a voice actress, how would you suggest a successful start? What would you tell your younger self now that you know now?

What type of issues plague the transgender community that drives one to want to commit suicide and how can we as a community do to help?

I tried killing myself years ago over being trans and I volunteered to be admitted to a mental hospital.

They put me in the men's ward and said it was because they were out of rooms in the women's ward.

I was in a dark place at the time but my response was to tear the "men's ward" banner off the wall.

As a result they put me in solitary... which happens to be in the women's ward.

On the way, I noticed 90% of the rooms were vacant. In fact, there were only 3 women there. I threw a stink so I could leave early, but was offered no help. I hope no trans woman has to go through that level of torture.

My question: why did they do this? Why did they take this asinine approach? How do you feel suicidal trans people should be handled?

How come gynecomastia isn't considered cosmetic surgery and a mental illness in which you must accept your body for what it is because youll always be less than a man if you have breasts but sexual corrective surgery for us is considered a mental disorder who are justmen or women who need to accept their body and get no help from the medical community whatsoever?
