Did you have any acne before you had treatment?

I'm 18 and think I may have this too, what are the main signs that made you realise you hadn't gone through puberty?

Edit: Basically right now I have a bit of pubic hair around the base of my penis, hair under my armpits which isn't thick and my adams apple isn't visible at all. I can't tell whether I'm just a late bloomer or I haven't gone through puberty.
