Glad it returned easily.

When I worked at a bookstore that sold Lego, we constantly had sets returned that had had things swapped out. We finally had to have only managers approve Lego returns.

We finally figured out who it was and he came back in one night and I told him to leave. I also told him that I’d shared his face with the local Toys R Us and other stores (which wasn’t true).

I’ve also received a Lego set as a gift before that had stuff taken from it. I called Lego customer service and they just sent me a new one. Super awesome of them.

Do you ever come across sets that appear new and sealed at the store, only to find that they’d been opened and re-sealed with all of the “good stuff” taken out?

That’s becoming more and more common here in the US.

This guy very carefully sliced the tape and re-taped when he was done. But he used a tape that had like a cross-stitch pattern in it, and we were able to locate sets on our shelves that he’d previously returned by looking for that tape.
