I would third this. I am in my early 40s, and I make better choices now. I’ve learned to take a breath and reason through situations better. Instead of cutting someone out of my life, I’ll just delete a text string with them. They’ll never know, and it scratches my splitting itch. About the only thing, I still have a hard time controlling is picking at scabs. Disgusting, I know.

I was disappointed I couldn’t get a beer at Disney Land. Universal was much more my speed where I could walk around Harry Potter world with my butter beer.

I had my first colonoscopy at end of last year. The prep was not bad and the most uncomfortable as you can’t eat anything solid all day and poop for a couple of hours. I don’t remember anything about the procedure and wasn’t uncomfortable when I woke up at all.

My sister died in June when her colon cancer spread to her lungs. She, too, had been afraid of getting a colonoscopy. She ignored symptoms for quite a while, but was forced to acknowledge there was something wrong when she had a rectal prolapse: this is when part of the rectum protrudes from the anus. She had surgery to remove the tumor and refused any other treatment. Four years later, it had spread to her lungs, including her neck, which was inoperable. At the end, she couldn’t lie down because the tumor in her neck obstructed her breathing. She died at the age of 51.

Please take care of yourself.
