Interesting, joining usefulness and pleasure is the best way to go I guess :) My next question might seem weird, but how would you feel if your (possibly hypothetical) daughter would get in to that line of work ? As someone who has seen this industry, would you support her or have reservations based on your experiences ? I'm just curious.

NINJA EDIT: I have rarely seen such an active AMA, thanks for all the answers!

How did you get into it ? Would you recommend it to someone else (who has the potential for it) ?

Never knew that you composed both scores (Uncharted and Firefly), which is nice, because I love them both!

  1. First of all, I always loved The Eldorado Megamix from Uncharted. Did you compose it yourself? Who's that DJ Shadow person? Also, I remember being really surprised to hear this particular track in an ad for series "The Prisoner", which prompts the question: did any of the (other) tracks you have composed for a score ever find themselves being used in another context?

  2. How would you compare scoring a video game to a more cinematrographical medium? Which one is easier/more pleasant?

  3. What film/series/video game/etc would you love or would have loved to score yourself?

  4. Did you also arrange "The Ballad Of Jayne" ?
