My daughter had a mole on her cheek for quite awhile until one day it started to change shape and wasn't smooth and circular anymore. She was two years old. Biopsy showed melanoma, which the doctor said was the type that old people get and was highly unusual for a child so young. Doctor performed surgery for removal, and he got it all. She's 24 now with a small scar on her cheek but no other problems, although at the time I was really stressed.

Can you describe your worst day as a cop in that area?

I used to be an air traffic controller in the tower at Randolph AFB, Texas. One particular day we were expecting the Thunderbirds because they were going to put on a show for the weekend. I was working local position, expecting radar approach to let me know about the T birds proximity. I forgot that they also fly VFR, so out of the clear blue, when all is quiet in the tower, I hear a voice blast over the radio: "Randolph Tower, Thunderbird 5!" It scared the s**t out of me and I jumped two feet off the chair. The other controllers laughed all day and wouldn't let me forget it. Anyway, two of my favorite aircraft are the SR-71 Blackbird and the B-58 Hustler. What's your favorite?

Since the cold or flu usually hit me in the throat first, I make sure to gargle with Listerine each morning and night. Do you think it's doing any good?

I always wondered why cancer goes crazy on some people and other people seem to be exempt. I'm curious, were you a smoker? And what kinds of foods did you eat on a regular basis? Did you take vitamins? These questions may seem silly, but I really think vitamins can help protect against cancer. People laugh at me because of how many vitamins and herbs that I take, but I'm 67 and still going strong (so far)
