Thank you! He's an Australian species so I don't expect you to know much about him in particular, he's a Children's Python. I've been looking into it myself and he came in a Viv as long as he is, but I just wanna make sure the little dudes comfortable and happy.
I know this is a really silly sounding question, but how do you know if a snakes content and also what's the best way to pick up a small snake with minimal stress to the animal?

I never said it was the same, but don't go thinking it takes no knowledge of colour theory and mixing, a lot of artists use the same techniques and ideas as traditional artists.
Also fyi I'm a tattooist, that's in no way digital or traditional painting, I just use a lot of digital artists colour tutorials in the process of learning to apply colour. I taught myself up from some of the online masters, as did A LOT of artists, don't play down their skills so harshly dude and no one would have an issue

Ahhh we've seen that body language already! I got bit suffice to say. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting. Part of me was waiting to have a snake dangling off my finger by the teeth, but it was more of a sharp tap then slither away to hide. Poor wee noodle.
Looking back I was definitely pussy footing about it. Well I've not long fed him so I'll try again when he's had a day for his dinner to go down!
Thanks dude! Much appreciated x

Oh my goodness, thank you for doing an AMA!
We've just rescued a snake who couldn't stay with their owner. It was a bit of a hurried situation and I'm in the process of giving myself a crash course in caring for the beautiful, little fellah.
Only thing is there's soooo much varying information out there; can you recommend any reliable sites?
And any tips for first time owners would be greatly appreciated! Although I don't believe we've one you'd specialise in (It's a Children's Python) what are some good general rules for snake care and handling?
Thanks for your time!
