What do you think about the fact that mass shootings and gun violence in schools makes up a small fraction of gun violence in the US, and in turn, their focus in the media shifts the conversation to assault rifles and away from restrictions to handguns that would be necessary to curb gun violence more broadly?

Regarding a guaranteed basic income, wouldn't prices go up by the percent that income adds to the economy. So for instance if it is 5%, prices go up 5%. Except for a poor family that would be a much higher portion of their income, something like 20%-30% (not real numbers, just an estimate). In the end, does that not accomplish its intent?
