I would add to her response, consider meds if you are in therapy but the anxiety prevents you from engaging in the skills therapy is teaching you. Sometimes being on meds helps reduce some of the distress so with the help of a therapist you can gather new data to challenge the negative automatic thoughts anxiety throws at you, and you can prove to your anxiety "hey that wasn't so bad, see you were wrong" and eventually with enough experience you might not need the meds anymore.

Maybe look into cognitive behavioral therapy a little bit (plenty of info on the internet) and when looking for the next therapist, find someone who is more cbt oriented if it seems to be along the lines of what you're looking for? It sounds to me like cbt or solution focused therapy might be what you want. I will also say that I've had plenty of clients who say they want something more structured or more skills-based, but when I start doing it they shut down or they revert to talking about other things, etc. So maybe examine what you're asking for from the therapists, how you're asking for it, and are you consistent with showing your interest in it. I see it as this is your show, you're the director, and I'm assistant director (is that even a thing lol), so I will do what I can to support you and point out possible pitfalls, but I will not steal your show if you take it in other directions.
