This comment in particular is still right at the top of the thread. In a case like this, the score reflects peoples' emotional response (like/dislike) more than their opinion on whether the comment should be seen and discussed more. I understand this is not how reddit is intended to be used but in the case of an AMA it is usually the question that directs the attention. (I should add that I don't control what the people do; This is just what's happening.)
