Was there any way Robert Mueller could have, or even should have submitted his findings to insulate them from the narrative attorney general Barr seems to be ascribing?
To be blunt, the job Mueller had was to present the findings but not to define them (ex. So and so had a meeting with Russian agent 1 vs So and so colluded with Russia via agent 1) and this seems to be a slow pitch PR opportunity for the Trump administration. Was Mueller playing this by-the-book with indifference to possible the optics grab or was there simply no other way to narrate the findings?
