Very different connotations. In the first one it sounds like you think being a girl is an achievement of some sort by itself.

And many women seem to get off on the attention that accompanies identifying themselves as female on the internet.

I'm not even a game tester and glitches that work against me piss me off. Those that work in my favor, or have no effect on my progress amuse me profusely, though.
