Difference being that a lot of people hated Gaddafi and Hussein. Bin Laden would have been deified. Any image of his death would have ended up being the equivalent Jesus on the cross for Christians, but for his supporters instead.

There's zero benefit to showing anything. We get to go, "Yep, he's dead" and his supporters get to put him on their flag.
