As someone who has once again mastered their mind after a long struggle with PTSD, I'll second that CBT and self-reprogramming techniques like NLP and human-needs psychology really do work. It takes some studying, a lot of willingness to discard old ways of thinking, and dedicated practice... but the peace of mind and incredible level self control are worth it.
