When I was a teenager, two of my best friends and the other 3 members of their family passed away in a plane crash. The oldest kid, the one I was closest with, was in Shriners with burns similar to what you describe. I don't remember a lot of details (I was not in a good place at the time). He ended up passing away from an unidentified infection in his abdomen.

I am so glad that you don't remember it. I am glad that you survived it. Medicine truly is an amazing thing. Keep on truckin', friend.

Hello Mr. Nix! You are my favorite author. I grabbed Sabriel one day when I was at the library probably 6 years ago and over the next few months I read every single book that they had of yours. Your stories really helped me retain creativity as I grew up. I cried when I finished them all because it couldn't be over! I am so incredibly excited to read the new book. I know I'll have to go back and reread the others, and I am so excited!
