After the war ended, was there ever a moment in history when you thought the world was going down that road again? A sort of an "Oh dear, here we go again" point where you expected world war to break out again?

What is the coming back like?

Let me explain what I mean; I always get antsy when I travel by plane. The moment the wheels leave the ground I get that feeling of "I am not in control and at the mercy of something else".

I have always imagined the coming back to be something like that, you undock, and then return to earth. Once you hit re-entry, does a feeling of "I am not at the mercy of something beyond my control" come over you?
