Wow, I know it would have taken too much time and money and all that, but you should have taken the school, and possibly the city itself, to court over this.

I was thinking of the episode "Arkangel" in which parents give children implants that allow them to spy through their eyes and ears, as well as selectively block certain things (barking dogs, pornography, foul language). Also a depressing episode.

I get what OP wants, but I think the only real, healthy, solution is impossible: convince society as a whole to reject sensationalized news that makes criminals into mythical monsters. As in everyone calls in and tells every news company to stop doing this until they care more about stopping the calls than getting the ratings (not likely), or we pass laws making it illegal (also not likely).

The fact of the matter is that we allowed infortainment to exploit our morbid curiosity for profit, and now we're so sick with this disease there may be no cure.

Have you ever made a game for completely blind users? / How could that be done?

A guy in my university had something like this.

TBH, I was a little jealous: his device was a keyboard with only a dozen or so keys (arranged more like a piano than a computer keyboard), but he could type faster than I do with qwerty.

Apparently this involved learning a number of key combinations, but he just plowed right through as fast as a courtroom stenographer.
