Eh. Easily thwarted. You could just use the date filter to figure out the time interval in which you get an unexpected increase in number of hits. From there, the majority of the results prior to that date will be legitimate information.

Do you ever wonder why you find it despicable? Why it is that being superficial is looked down upon?

Why is it that liking someone for their personality is better than liking them for their physique? I mean ultimately, it's not like people can fundamentally change their personality. They can only change how it manifests in their actions. And let's not even get into the specifics that make a personality desirable. Intelligence and wit for example, leave almost no room for positive modification.

Physique on the other hand. That's malleable. A person can really change it if they really want to.

Now I'm not saying that superficiality is preferable. I'm just openly wondering why it has such a bad rep. We put people's emotions and personalities on a pedestal, as if they're some sacred magical snow-flakes, each beautiful in its own way. But for the most part, people are just people. They have all the same personality traits in varying degrees. And having a preference for excessive empathy seems no less arbitrary than a preference for a prominent jawline.

If I had to guess, I would say we dislike superficiality because we all know that we'll age and become physically undesirable at some point. And so we exaggerate the importance of "what's on the inside." Because supposedly, that only improves with age.
