Yea, this is honestly insulting and all I needed to see before coming to the conclusion he doesn't know what he's talking about. I'll probably still have my same car in 2025, yet the entire world will be off fossil fuels by then? Bullshit.

Most of the workers on a project, just by numbers, are the ones that install the panels and the actual racking. In the SE US these are normally temp jobs. It is unskilled labor. Yes, there are trained electricians and qa/qc people, but they don't make up a majority of the labor force.

No it really wasn't a dumb question. It's just a very complicated and nuanced question that is practically impossible to answer correctly because there are so many variables that go into it. But someone not in the industry will not understand the details that have to be discussed to even attempt a thorough answer. I get asked that question constantly.
