Not sure why you're getting downvoted. It's not like the typical rapist is the scary dude who jumps out from behind a tree to grab a woman jogging at night - most rape is date or acquaintance rape (i.e. the rapist is someone the victim knows).

I don't think it's arbitrary at all. Chickens have an enormous capacity for suffering, physically as well as emotionally. So they have an interest in not suffering. Since they aren't essential for human survival, making them suffer so we can eat them is morally unjustified. That's my argument.

The best thing you can do is just not eat chickens. You don't need them for your health (no human does), so any suffering is unnecessary suffering and unjustified.
