I've never seen anything that's on Skyscanner that isn't on ITA Matrix though I do agree Bing Travel is pretty cool. Price predictor is only for USA-based flights as far as I remember.

Big fan of ITA Matrix and the new Google Flights. I tell everyone to use it.

However, many of us miss the classic ITA 2.x which had far less bugs than the new ITA 3.0. (Seriously though, I don't mean to be rude, but did you guys even do regression testing?)

I've submitted numerous bug reports already and some of them are indeed being fixed.

However, the new UI is still difficult and buggy to use. Examples:

  • Entering multiple airports without losing focus will not search with the new inputs.

  • Typing too quickly in the airport box will produce incorrect suggestions - example here

  • Calendar sometimes doesn't confirm mouse-click on my touch-screen laptop (Lenovo Flex 2) - hard to reproduce. I would have to touch screen to select a date instead

I know you're not here for bug fixes, but I think a lot of the heavy ITA users would appreciate if you guys would focus on both products - both excellent in their own ways but each still having unique features that make them very very important for searches.

Thanks!

I've written an extensive article over at /r/travel and can be found on the sidebar: Guide to airfare search engines. I recommend ITA Matrix through and through for fare searching.

Edit: Sorry to spam, but I want people to know there are options available - not just stupid dohop. Come join us over in /r/travel!

I've read through most of your answers and you're one of the first people that I've seen on reddit who doesn't spew the usual garbage about flights are cheapest "exactly 53 days" before departure, "clear your cookies and search in incognito", "buy tickets on Tuesdays".

So do you do any of the "less ethical" (breaking T&C perhaps) tricks like, say, hidden city fares, FDing, or attempt at cabotage?
