Cool story: I used to work in tech support for Gateway 2000 in the 1990's. Once, an old man called me from a rotary phone in his kitchen (even though portables were commonplace then, he didn't have one). His computer was located in his basement and we had to format and reinstall Windows 3.11. He walked back and forth between his computer and the phone for DOS commands. Initially I tried having him write the steps down on paper, but he kept screwing it up. So I kept it simple and gave him one instruction at a time. That was THE longest call of my life. 3.5hrs... I told him to call back when it finished formatting. (No quick format back then)

Thank you for the reply. I'll be traveling to Costa Rica in June for some military related training - I'm sure we'll be spending a lot of time in the jungle. :)

In the past 25 years, has there been any major progress in stopping or reducing deforestation? If you have any statistics or numbers to cite, that would be fantastic!

I love that you guys love this AND skip these steps if I've already completed them. So many tech support lines ignore what you've done and make you retrace these steps, wasting my valuable time.
