awesome reply! my mom and sister are actually traveling to Canada or somewhere soon for a TS convention lol (I'm not invited :c) and they're part of some awesome FB groups and have made a lot of friends!

Hi! Thanks for the AMA. MY mother and sister both have extreme forms of TS. Both developed in puberty and got worse as the time went by (Mom is 47, Sis is 21). As someone who grew up around two people with extreme forms of TS, I know how difficult social life can be - how have you coped?

sorry for the delay - yes. it is. It's difficult growing up with a mother who has TS, mainly from all the staring and downright cruelty. obiously as time grew on, I got more vocal about my disdain for other people's staring lol but when my sister was diagnosed, it was difficult to watch because statistically, i should have gotten it (first child has a higher chance) and watching her go through everything my mom talked about was heartbreaking. i actually went to her school once and verbally threatened/harrassed a teacher for making fun of her lol
